hip hop, capture the flag, and onions

so, today was very exciting. i'm quickly becoming really close with one of the girls in my dorm, jessica. we went grocery shopping together and decided to make all our meals together. i'm really excited to finally start actually cooking real food.

she convinced me to join a hip hop club with her and i'm really excited. i have always absolutely loved dancing, but i haven't been able to really do any since like 7th grade. she's a really good dancer and she said she'll help me. it'll be fun, i can do something besides just boring old school without actually having to take another class.

for family night, we played capture the flag. i have to admit, i wasn't looking forward to going, and almost thought of ditching out. i'm really bad at any kind of sports type things, and that's almost all that we planned. luckily it'll get cold soon, and then we can't really do them any more, at least i hope we don't like go play basketball or something. of course i went though, because i know it's important to go to all the activities and stuff. me and jessica were on the same team and we went together to try to find the flag. we went around a really long way and went like through buildings and down in basements and stuff. we got caught kind of early on in the game, but we had been over on the other team's side the entire time without them noticing, so it was still exciting.

when we got home, jessica wanted to make dinner. she said she had a really good recipe with tuna and lemons and onions. i was kind of excited, but i dreaded the onions. i absolutely hat onions, but i didn't wan to be rude, so i didn't say anything. she put an entire onion in for just me and her and it was raw and huge and big pieces. i ate it, and i was so surprised. it was delicious! they were red onions, which i here are milder or sweeter or something, but it's a lot of progress. here's the recipe (for 2 servings), it's amazing:

1 WHOLE red onion
juice of 2 lemons
2 cans of tuna
cilantro
salt & pepper
mix together and serve with rice

I usually don't like canned tuna, but that recipe sounds kinda yummy.

Then again, I'll eat almost anything with lemon juice.

yeah, it's amazing, if it can make onions good, then it can definitely make tuna good!
