i love byu
i must admit, i never wanted to go to byu. all my life i've been the goody-goody perfect molly mormon girl. i didn't really like the way people expected every mormon to go to byu, and thought anywhere else wasn't good enough. as it actually started getting close to time to think about choosing a college, i just didn't want to have to sort through the piles of mail and choose a college. at that time my sister tonya was going to byu, only because her husband was, but she told me about all the awesome programs and stuff the have here. when i learned about the accounting program, i decided i might as well go, especially because of the cheap tuition. once i decided i'd go to byu, i started looking into it more and realizing that it really was a good school. this last year i started drifting from my big group of nonmember friends as our values and standards started to separate. i always found refuge in church and mutual. i had so much fun at activities like youth conference. it was then that i realized that byu would be a really great place to be. these first two days of orientation were so great. it's not only an amazing academic and spiritual environment, but it's so fun. at what other school would the orientation meeting where they present all the rules be a concert? and at what other school would that concert be ended with an on stage proposal? don't get me wrong, every school is great, and the institute program is amazing, but today i finally realized that this is where i'm supposed to be. i love it here!
