first day

i'm currently about a year behind in my journal and i doubt i'll catch up any time soon, but i'm starting a big new part of my life that i want to remember. i was inspired by my older sister annalee, who's been blogging about her experience as a wife and mother, and decided to start one of my own. i think it'll be easier, plus i get to include pictures and share it with other people (especially my mom who can't see everything i put on facebook) for anyone who's reading this, i want to warn you that i often will talk (or write) for days without actually saying much, so be prepared for very long entries that are not in the least bit interesting.
